Trauma focused counseling with a
mind/body/spirit connection
I am a clinical social worker and mental health therapist with 24 years of post graduate experience in the social work field. I received my Bachelors of Psychology Degree from Mount Union University and Masters of Social Work Degree from The Ohio State University. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor which means I am able to compete psychosocial assessments, diagnose and treat mental illnesses. I am also a proud member of the LBGTQIA+ community.
I am a holistic therapist meaning I treat the whole person focusing on all the parts of each person including mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing. My goal for each client is to assist them in achieving their goals, helping them find happiness, and teaching the tools they will need outside of the therapy sessions. The ultimate goal is for each client to reach a place of Inner Peace and learn how to maintain it.
I AM ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS, HOWEVER, I ALWAYS HAVE A WAITING LIST. SOMETIMES I CAN GET YOU IN QUICKLY AND OTHER TIMES IT CAN BE A FEW MONTHS. I WORK DILIGENTLY TO OFFER EVERY PERSON ON MY WAIT LIST A SPOT BUT SOMETIMES IT WILL REQUIRE YOUR PATIENCE.
I am trained in EMDR and IFS informed EMDR and I utilize these therapies along with DBT, CBT, solution focused, and somatic therapies as appropriate to assist each client to overcome the traumas they have endured in life. I also believe in energy healing and will assist in chakra work if this is something you are interested in.
I often hear my clients say that their trauma or stressful experiences aren't as "severe" as other people's trauma and they question if they qualify for trauma treatment. I tell every client "NO TRAUMA IS TOO SMALL". Regardless of what you experinced, if it caused you extreme stress and you continue to have ongoing issues such as trouble sleeping, nightmares, anxiety, depression, phobias, trouble in relationships, fear of commitment, difficulty focusing, lack of fulfillment in life, feeling "not good enough" and/or somatic symptoms then TRAUMA COUNSELING CAN WORK FOR YOU!
This is Mollie and she is my therapy dog in training. Mollie is a puppy and is still learning but was born for this and is already helping to calm clients and assist them with difficult emotions. She is in person with me for some sessions at this time but will be present in all sessions in the future. Research has shown the use of therapy animals to be very beneficial for clients and having her is a dream come true.

Several years ago while watching my 12 year old beat herself up mentally while playing volleyball I began to research and develop a program to assist her to overcome the mental blocks that hold us back from achieving our goals. Over the last 6 years I have developed this program into a training for sports teams, corporate teams, individuals and families. Using this program I have assisted people in passing their medical board exams, improving ACT scores, achieving mental toughness during sports, and improving overall happiness and contentment in life and on the job.
The Mind Game is a training program that I will can provide on an individual or group basis. I also do speaking engagements using The Mind Game for groups, corporate events and conferences.
There are two parts to this program that can be booked at separate times or broken into sections. The first part of this game is beginning to utilize the basic powers of your mind to create positive outcomes in your life. The second part is focused on improving your overall happiness in life and finding joy in everyday life. Part two is not required and can be booked at a separate time.
RATES FOR THE MIND GAME PROGRAM
INDIVIDUALS: For individual clients, the rate would be $150 per hour, the same as mental health clients. Sessions with individuals are interactive and allow direct application to the individual's personal issues and goals and is a total of 3 hours which can be spread out in one hour sessions. The total cost of the sessions are due at the beginning of sessions and additional sessions can be added individually as requested by each client.
ONE OR MORE, SMALL GROUPS, TEAMS, FAMILIES: For one or more clients, the price can be adjusted to provide a lower cost for each person. This is ideal for couples, friend groups, families, teams.
LARGE GROUPS, CORPORATE TRAININGS, SPEAKING EVENTS: Contact me to discuss rates, scheduling, etc.
